Background

The Faculty of Education was officially established on April 1, 2008 in response to the noble initiative by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) to train teachers for the Basic Fardhu Ain Classes (KAFA) and contract teachers currently serving in the state of Selangor. Its establishment aligns with JAIS's objective of producing professional, high-quality, and competent educators within the state's Islamic education system. In addition, the Faculty of Education continues the legacy of the Diploma in Education program that was previously implemented in 1995.
In line with current developments and growing demands in the field of education, the Faculty of Education now offers a range of academic programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Undergraduate Programmes

At the undergraduate level, the Faculty of Education offers two diploma programmes:
- Diploma in Teaching (Islamic Education)
- Diploma in Teaching (TESL)
- Diploma in Teaching (TASL)
All three diploma programs have received accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), with the first batch of students enrolled on June 14, 2008, totaling 455 students.
The faculty offers three bachelor degree programmes:
- Bachelor of Education in Islamic Education with Multimedia (Honours)
- Bachelor of Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) with Multimedia
- Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Tahfiz Al-Quran and Qiraat Education
Postgraduate Programmes

To meet the needs of professional development for teachers and educators at a higher level, the Faculty of Education also offers postgraduate programs, namely:
- Master of Education (Islamic Education)
- Master of Education (Language Education)
- Master of Education (Curriculum and Pedagogy)
- Master of Education (Educational Administration)
- Doctor of Philosophy in Education
All programs offered by the Faculty of Education aim to produce knowledgeable and highly skilled educators who uphold professionalism and embody noble values and righteous practices in their daily lives.
